MECCA-X DEFIES THE TEMPERATURE WITH INTENSE ROUND 4

What a weekend at Sellindge MX for the fourth round of the Mecca-X Championship. It was one of the hottest weekends of the year, but that didn’t deter the Mecca-X competitors as they battled hard with intense racing throughout.

In the autos it was another clean sweep for Ellik Miller, second was Max Hughs, third Ryan James Mainwaring, fourth Albie Chambers and fifth Lenny Newman.

The 65cc championship is continuing to shape up with some great racing from first-placed Roy Townley, second Charlie Campbell, third Louie Peet, fourth Joey Law, fifth Frankie Hargrave, and sixth Freddie Olds.

In the SW85s Johnny Wright took another overall win with 135 points, Tyler Peaty was second with 122. Behind them Levi Johnson was third, Ciaran Reene fourth, Jenson Borret fifth, closely followed by Harry Skillen in sixth.

There were some new faces on the BW85 podium with Jack Smith winning the overall, Tony Luscombe was second and Charlie Reeves third. Fourth was Troy McGrath, fifth Riley Skillen and Tommy Barfoot finished sixth.

The Youth 125 saw some good action with Freddy Willet taking the overall on125 points ahead of younger brother Reggie Willet in second with 118, Micky Angles-Hookey was third, Luke Hodgson fouth, Harrison Schofield fifth and sixth Sonny Bixby.

Youth 250 resulted in another good day for the #58 Harry Farlam who was out front with the win over Jayden Williams in second and Lenny Wright third. Fourth place went to Kane Welch Corbett, fifth was Daniel Charman and sixth Connor Barden.

The Clubman C group was won by Jake Bryant, with Liam Bayliss and Christopher Ovenden rounding out the podium.

Another good round of 35+ Vets racing saw Steve Bixby again in control and taking the overall ahead of Paul Barrand and Roger Frean.

Kester Gibbons took all three wins in the 50+ Vets. Graham Daniel was second and Paul Bunn third.

In the Clubman B, Kurt Richardson had a clean sweep with 135 points, followed by Scott Chambers in second and Tom Chambers third.

Finally, Clubman A again saw some intense racing throughout the day. Levi Saunders took home maximum points with all three wins, Ryan Daniel was second and Ricky Carter third.
